I offer psychodynamic counselling at The Harbourside Practice in Bristol, and I am also a trainee psychodynamic psychotherapist. My way of working is thoughtful, collaborative and rooted in the belief that meaningful change comes from being deeply understood over time.
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on how past experiences, relationships and unconscious patterns can shape how we feel and relate in the present. In our work together, I aim to create a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can speak freely and at your own pace. I’m attentive to what is said and also to what may be harder to put into words, helping us gently explore recurring difficulties, emotional blocks or patterns that may be causing distress.
People often come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure why certain problems keep repeating. I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, identity questions and a general sense that something doesn’t feel right. I value curiosity, honesty and compassion in the therapeutic relationship, and I see therapy as a shared process rather than something done to you.
As a trainee psychodynamic psychotherapist, I bring a high level of commitment, reflection and care to my work, supported by ongoing training and supervision. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and aim to offer a space where you can feel met as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. I offer both short term and open-ended therapy.
I am a registered member of the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
