Since 2006 I have been studying, training, and practising in counselling psychology, through a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Master’s degree in Health Psychology and Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.
During these years I also trained and practised in different settings from Charities to the NHS’s primary and secondary care mental health services, using different theoretical frameworks and techniques including relational psychodynamic, humanistic and CBT.
Using an integrative approach, I draw my intervention from relational psychodynamic, humanistic and CBT models, according to the clients’ presenting issues and goals.
You might seek help for a variety of reasons, such as anxiety, low mood, bereavement, eating and body weight problems, relational issues, feeling stuck or overwhelmed by life change situations (the list is not exhaustive).
Sometimes it could be difficult to identify a specific reason for seeking support. It might be a struggle to find a sense of meaning or a way through emotional pain.
I can offer my skills and experience in a safe a confidential non-judgemental space where you can feel free to express your thoughts, and feelings.
We all experience difficulties in our life that can have a negative impact on our quality of life and our wellbeing. Recognising and talking about difficult experiences is an important step towards changes and/or recovery.
Throughout the therapeutic collaborative relationship, we can work together to explore and understand personal difficulties in relation to your unique individual experience, to alleviate distress and enable you to find the way to overcome your issues.
