Counsellor: Rachel Rodgers

Rachel RodgersI offer confidential counselling for people with a range of issues and life experiences.

Maybe it’s your current situation that is troubling you, or something that happened to you a long time ago. I believe that talking things through and being listened to non-judgmentally can bring about positive change at any age.

Counselling is normally once a week and each session lasts 50 minutes. Some people find that a few sessions are enough; others prefer to continue for longer.

Counselling Approach
I use a person-centred relational approach.
The open and trusting relationship that we form is central to this approach.

Many people have never experienced being accepted for who they really are. They find themselves fitting in around other people’s view of how they should feel, think and act. In person-centred counselling, each person is accepted non-judgementally as a unique individual with their own way of looking at and experiencing the world.

With me you can talk openly about how you really feel and know that you will be heard, valued and taken seriously. My role is to understand your experiences from your perspective without judging you or your feelings or thoughts.

Whatever your age or the stage you are at in your life, this can greatly improve feelings of self-worth and open up whole new worlds of hope and possibility.
